 Are you a dedicated and driven news producer? The Producer, Politics serves as an integral member of the PBS NewsHour politics unit, overseeing the production of video segments for use on-air and a variety of online content.

 As the Producer, Politics, you will conceive, develop and execute field segments as well as studio discussion segments. You will also manage, plan and produce field, and political event coverage for packages as well as special projects. Further, you will identify, pre-interview, and book guests, gather and write background briefing materials for anchors and others, budget plan for field segments, and conceive and execute a variety of online coverage projects, which might include social media, podcasts, slideshows, extended interviews, and interactive forums and more.

 You have experience covering politics and government at a national level and shooting and editing (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut or Avid) experience are a plus. You are able to work effectively in a fast-paced newsroom setting and to adjust smoothly to changing assignments under deadline pressure.  Flexible and able to handle multiple tasks.

 Qualified individuals will have a college degree in journalism, political science, or related field, minimum of four (4) years of producing original news content, preferably for a national news outlet. Or, equivalent combination of education and experience.

Support Specialist – Sales and Accounting

Reston Limousine is a 27 year old family owned, employee focused passenger transportation company and the largest in the Washington, DC area. We are growing and searching for an experienced part time Support Specialist to work as part of our sales and accounting teams. Our ideal candidate is very organized; detail oriented and shows strong initiative.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of support and general administrative tasks related to the sales and accounting departments including but not limited to:
    • Data entry and extracting
    • Providing quality checks to trip sheets
    • Resolving IRs
    • Generate reports
  • Provide communication support
    • Serve as a point of contact and facilitate responses to general inquiries and data requests
  • Meets or exceeds standards for productivity
    • Maintains productivity goals and standards set by the department
    • Insure all processes are followed
  • Meets or exceeds standards for quality
    • Achieves the expected level of quality set by the department
    • Verifies completeness and accuracy of work
  • Providing any other administrative tasks required

 Requirements:

  • Proven data entry experience
  • Exposure to accounting bookkeeping systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Capable of handling a high volume of data entry work with 100% accuracy
  • Able to communicate and coordinate with other department employees
  • Critical thinking, problem solving skills
