CS Reps for Call Center (Adecco- Laurel,MD)

Adecco is staffing 60-90 Customer Service Representatives for a call center supporting the largest U.S. energy providers located in Laurel, MD.

The positions are part time, temporary status with the potential of becoming full time, permanent-

  • Hourly pay is $10.75 per hour with commission. People are already performing well and earning substantial commission!
  • Training is conducted every Tuesday and a decision is made whether the candidate will go forward to start the assignment.
  • If  hired, the pay increases to $14 per hour.  
  • Work schedule is 6PM-9PM, three nights per week or two nights per week 6PM-9PM and Saturday 9AM-6PM.  Once approved to start the assignment, more hours are given if interested.

REQUIREMENTS:  some customer service experience, call center experience is great…need to like to speak on the phone and be motivated.  Training environment is high energy…our client is looking for super stars!

As the Production Associate, you will contribute to the program’s website and social media outreach. In addition, you will research national and international news stories, gather video elements and monitor/log live news events. A college degree in journalism, political science, or any related field is desired.  A minimum of 2 years’ experience in television news production, preferably on a regularly scheduled news/current affairs program is required, along with web related skills.

Position Information

The Arlington Employment Center (AEC) in the Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking to fill an Employment Services Specialist position. The AEC is the comprehensive One-Stop Center in Arlington County that provides a comprehensive array of employment services to residents to enable them to remove barriers to employment, define and pursue career goals, obtain training, and secure appropriate employment. The population served by the AEC is educationally, culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse.

Duties include:

  • Assessing client education, skills, and abilities to create an employment plan;
  • Assisting clients in their development of long and short term career objectives and assessing progress toward these goals;
  • Developing and facilitating individual and group trainings on résumé creation, job searching, and employment interview preparation;
  • Participating in AEC-sponsored job fairs;
  • Providing information on vocational trainings, educational and employment programs, and other service partners such as the Virginia Employment Commission (VEC); and
  • Maintaining case documentation in State and County databases.

The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work with a high number of clients.

Selection Criteria
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Sociology, Human Resources, Human Services, Education, Public/Business Administration or a related field plus two years of experience in human resources, career counseling and/or job development.
Substitution: Additional qualifying experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Special Requirements
An assessment of oral Spanish proficiency will be required before a candidate can be appointed to the bilingual position. The incumbent in the position will receive the language pay premium on all hours worked and on paid leave hours.
