Under the general supervision of a Data Architect or Manager the incumbent’s accountabilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assist in the creation and maintenance of Data and Informatics Databases. With guidance from data architects, maintain and administer data governance tools, data models, and glossaries. Assists in the diagnosis and resolution of problems and works with Business Analysts, Data Architects and Solution Architects to implement solutions. Test/validate changes to correct or enhance systems. Work with Subject Matter Experts in interacting with customers, (internal & external including Vendors). Assist in eliciting, reviewing, analyzing, interpreting and documenting requirements for data quality rules, establishing and maintaining them in the appropriate tools. Perform daily and monthly routine system balancing and approval for subject areas such as Claims, Enrollment, Revenue, Employer Groups, Products and Providers so data can be released to internal and external users. This may require the technician to be on call to immediately address any issues.
Contribute to the continual improvement of the department by interpreting and summarizing results, and developing neat and accurate analysis. Generate clear and concise documentation for all projects. Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities and handle multiple projects concurrently.
Assist colleagues with assignments. Expand technical and business knowledge through individual research and on-the-job training. Participate in meetings and facilitate information exchange with people in other departments and/or external customers. Participate in analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting data. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. Assist in eliciting requirements and development of project requirements documents and system design life cycle documents.
Perform team administrative duties including status reporting, daily project time reporting and self/peer/project assessments.
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
A demonstrated proficiency with standard reporting applications and tools including: MS Excel, Access, Word, and SQL/database querying. Must be flexible and willing to work additional hours as necessary to complete work during critical deadlines and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Ability to produce thorough accurate work. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Good oral and written communications abilities.
Knowledge of healthcare and/or the insurance industry. Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, Business Intelligence applications,

The associate is primarily seated while performing the duties of the position. Occasional walking or standing is required. The hands are regularly used to write, type, key and handle or feel small controls and objects. The associate must frequently talk and hear. Weights of up to 25 pounds are occasionally lifted.
