ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Broker Sales:

Duties and Responsibilities

Responds to calls from current and prospective Administrators, Brokers, Delegated Billing Entities and Wholesalers to provide routine explanations of account specific information, programs and products.  Works with appropriate areas of the company to  research and resolve account/group issues, questions and problems using Facets, Indemnity and other systems.

Completes Route Sheets and, if necessary runs rate quotes, census and proposals, also completes New Group/Benefit Change Worksheets and additional new and renewing account installation paperwork for Direct, Direct Brokered, and Wholesaler Groups.

Generates renewal letters for MD Based Products and mails to brokers and groups;  Receives renewal letters for DC Based Products and mails to brokers and groups.  Updates and maintains renewal log by recording receipt dates of the following information:  renewal letters sent to group/broker, paperwork sent to account installation;  Also researches and makes corrections to any account installation paperwork returned to Broker Sales.

Completes termination paperwork including pulling group files, attaching termination form, termination letter and routing paperwork as appropriate to Credit and Collections department.

Performs other related duties and special projects as required (i.e. co-ordinating/assembling materials for open enrollment meetings, opening screening and distributing mail, preparing routine and custom reports, attending training and meetings). Greets visitors to department, ascertains nature of business and directs visitors to appropriate people.


The incumbent must have 1 to 3 years experience in customer service, dealing with the public, or related field and have a basic knowledge of the Sales Department, enrollment, billing, account installation functions.    Proficiency with word processing software packages is required.  Incumbent must display excellent oral and written communication skills.  Incumbent must be able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, i.e. accurate tracking and processing of renewals, and maintaining department files and systems.  The individual selected will be team oriented and may be required to work overtime as needed.  The incumbent will be customer and team focused and meet the needs of the account consultants and field service personnel.  The successful candidate will be pleasing, professional, and demonstrate flexibility within a rapidly changing and demanding environment.

The associate is primarily seated while performing the duties of the position.  Occasional walking or standing is required.  The hands are regularly used to write, type, key and handle or feel small controls and objects.  The associate must frequently talk and hear.  Weights up to 25 pounds are occasionally lifted.
