ADMINISTRATIVE–

Unit Secretary    MED – SURGE: Med- Surge – Full Time (0.9 FTE) – 7:00 am – 7:30 pm

Responsible for communication within and through out the unit, and the unit’s clerical work.  Serve as a receptionist.  Assist the Clinical Coordinator with Non-Clinical duties.

  •                   EDUCATION: High school graduate or GED
  •                   EXPERIENCE: One year experience as Unit Secretary preferred.
  •                   LICENSURE: None.
  •                   SKILLS: Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.

ALLIED HEALTH–

PHYSICAL THERAPIST  REHAB: Part Time As Needed- (2 positions)

  • Performs initial assessment on patients to determine functional deficits as sequaelae of orthopedic, neurological and other musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Devises plan of care to address functional deficits.
  • Performs treatment procedures and able to use modalities which meets standards of the profession and the needs of the patient.
  • Provides relevant documentation in the medical chart.
  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals and family towards discharge planning.
  • Supervises support staff assisting in patient care.
  • Able to carry out clerical duties pertinent to the smooth operation of the department                                   
  • EDUCATION:   B.S. Physical Therapy                        LICENSURE:     Certified in the State of MD    EXPERIENCE:   1 year acute care

Occupational Therapist  REHAB: Part Time As Needed- (1 position)

NURSING OPPORTUNITIES–

For all Nursing Opportunities: Qualified candidate must be a Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current State of MD RN license or eligible. 1-2 years recent acute care experience. Monitor experience preferred.  CPR required. For ED Positions: ACLS & BLS certifications required. PALS Certification preferred. For CCU and PACU Positions: ACLS & BLS certifications required.

CLINICAL NURSE ICU/CCU: Full-Time (0.9 FTE ) – Hours 7:00 am – 7:30 pm (1 position); PRN/As Needed (0.1 FTE)

Clinical Nurse is responsible for the total nursing care of assigned patients. He or she utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement age appropriate interventions to primarily adult, and geriatric patients. 1 year nursing experience in an acute  care environment.

CLINICAL NURSE  ED:Full-Time (0.9 FTE ) – Hours 7:00 pm – 7:00 am ; Full –Time (1.0 FTE) – Hours 3:00 pm – 3:30 am

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is responsible for the total nursing care of assigned patients. He or she utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement age appropriate interventions to neonatal, infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Night shift with flexibility in scheduling. Requires BSN,BLS ACLS and PALS certifications                        

ER Technician  ED: Full-time (0.9 FTE)   7:00 am- 7:30 pm , 12:00 pm – 12:30 am

Qualifications include high school or GED graduate, current MD CNA license and BLS certification. At least 2 years recent Emergency and/or acute care experience preferred The Emergency Department Technicians function as auxiliary personnel in the Emergency Department. They are responsive to the needs of the physician, RNs and patients. All assignments are delegated by the Clinical Coordinator and Charge Nurse. Major functions include admitting patients, dressing and undressing patients, vital signs, prepping patients, applying dressings to wounds, splinting extremities, assisting with procedures, transporting patients, assisting with resuscitation, administrative duties, and stocking of supplies and linen.

PI Coordinator   Performance Improvement

The incumbent will be responsible for the administration of the design, development, and program management of:

  • Performance Improvement at Fort Washington Medical Center
  • Joint Commission Compliance at Fort Washington Medical Center
  • Staff Development in relative areas
  • EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited Master’s Program in Nursing preferred, Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Education, Public Health, Healthcare Policy, or Business Administration.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of three years performance improvement management experience within an acute  care environment.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in directing Joint Compliance in a multi-disciplinary setting, with proven ability to earn the respect and confidence of a diverse group of specialists and professional disciplines.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in design, implementation and evaluation of education programs for diverse populations (all level employees, physicians and community)

LICENSURE: Active Registered Nurse license within the State of Maryland.

SKILLS:

  • Proficient with quantitative statistical methods of data analysis.
  • Ability to direct, manage, and positively motivate diverse groups of employees.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate and promote the mission and values of Nexus Fort Washington Medical Center.
  • A thorough understanding of accreditation requirements.
  • Well versed in report design and presentation development.
  • Quality Management (CPHQ) certification preferred.
  • Six Sigma/Lean Certification preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Database experience helpful.
