Benefits Specialist/ Coordinator

NT Concepts is seeking a Benefits Specialist/Coordinator to join our Compensation and Benefits team. This role can be filled either in our headquarters office in Vienna, VA or on our government customer site in Boyers, PA. The Benefits Specialist/Coordinator will be relied upon to work closely with NT Concepts employees at all levels to provide outstanding service and support to our team. Reporting to the Benefits and Compensation Manager, this position will be part of a team that continuously strives to make every day a great day to come to work.

Responsibilities and Duties Include:

  • •Be a resource to assist employees with their questions and inquiries regarding the NT Concepts Total Rewards package- healthcare, dental insurance, prescription drug coverage, vision insurance, life insurance, short and long-term disability, and various voluntary benefits
  • •Assist in developing HR solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action
  • •Process change of status and special enrollment events for benefits
  • •Administer the full-lifecycle of short-term disability issues with employees
  • •Assist with online enrollment system design and audits
  • •Reconcile vendor bills and invoices
  • •Ensure quarterly health and welfare payments are appropriately reconciled
  • •Assist with monthly and quarterly audits for the Health Plan
  • •Problem solve with employees and third party administrators
  • •Review HRIS plan set-up features
  • •Assist with new hires and terminations
  • •Maintain employee files ensuring complete accuracy and confidentiality
  • •Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Educations Requirements:

  • •Bachelor’s degree, preferably in HR
  • •3+ years of benefits experience
  • •Strong interest in benefits topics including health and welfare, emerging healthcare legislation, disability, life insurance and 401(k) administration
  • •Prior experience supporting employees in resolving benefit issues
  • •Strong work ethic and ability to take initiative to set priorities, meet deadlines and proactively solve problems as needed
  • •Proven ability to conduct work in a professional manner
  • •High attention to detail
  • •Strong oral and written communications skills
  • •Mathematical skills required
  • •Ability to maintain professionalism in sensitive and difficult situations
  • •Ability to understand organizational structure and work through administrative systems
  • •Demonstrated organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects and move quickly from one to another while maintaining thorough records
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • •Ability to work in teams and independently to ensure deadlines are met
