    Academic Affairs Coordinator

    The George Mason University Office of Student and Academic Affairs within the College of Science welcomes well-qualified applicants to apply for our Academic Affairs Coordinator position.

  • Responsibilities: 
    The Academic Affairs Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating the operations of the academic affairs function of the Office of Student and Academic Affairs. The Coordinator’s duties will include assisting the college’s curricular, departmental, enrollment, and faculty development matters via administrative support to the Associate Dean and to the Associate Director. This includes filing, scanning, copying, scheduling, purchasing, travel coordination, and database management. The incumbent will also lend overall support for various academic affairs initiatives as assigned. Many of these duties will require training in order to ensure adherence to university and state policies.

    Assignment: 
    This temporary position will be expected to work up to 40 hours per week over the next few months. It is anticipated that the responsibilities of this position will serve as the foundation for a permanent position that will be advertised in the spring of 2016. The successful applicant for this temporary position will be eligible to apply for the permanent position when it is created.

    • Ability to begin work on or before December 14, 2015.
